- I. Passive forms: Active: S + V + O Passive: S + BE + V_ed/column 3 + (By O)
- 1. Passive in present ( bị động hiện tại) She eats rice everyday. → Rice is eaten everyday. S + am / is/ are + V-ed/column 3+ (by O). 2. Passive in past ( bị động quá khứ ) She played chess yesterday. → Chess was played yesterday S + was / were + V-ed/column 3 + (by O). 3. Passive in future ( bị động tương lai ) Tom will buy some books tomorrow. → Some books will be bought by Tom tomorrow S + will be + V-ed/column 3 + (by O).

- II. Compound word: Eg: It is a contest in which participants have to cook rice. → It’s a rice-cooking contest. Compound adjectives = Noun + V-ing - A compound adjective is an adjective that contains two or more words. - In general, we put a hyphen “-” between two or more words (before a noun) when we want them to act as a single idea (adjective) that describes something.
